   In a recent article, You Tube personality and blogger Mumia Obsidian Ali took exception at my use of the term Non-Select Guy Tax or more appropriately named, “Ugly Nigga Tax.” He began by recalling an appearance I made on the Daily Roast, a show co-hosted by him and Black Female You Tuber, Renaissance Woman. He alleged that I launched a “wolverine” like assault at him over another You Tube Personality. Based on my assessments of him, he concluded that my attacks were: YOU GUESSED IT, Ad hominem!

   Of course, the reverse is true. The discussion in question was specifically about his personal antics and not about an argument concerning black male and female dating choices. A discussion which was in fact raised by him, and not by yours truly. But rather than recounting his selective memory or his world famous penchant for confirmation bias by selective misquotation of scholarly articles. Let’s address the issue shall we?

   The definition of a non-select tax is a cost levied on unattractive men for the purposes of FUCKIN! That’s right! FUCKIN! The idea being that non-select men have to compensate in some way for their lack of physical attraction for the purposes of FUCKIN (short term casual sex)! So is this true? ANSWER: YES!  But since so much emphasis is placed on empirical evidence, let’s cite some shall we?

   According to a study cited by Esquire Magazine in an article titled

   Women Are Actually Happier With Less Attractive Men

   Researchers analysed 113 recently married couples in their late twenties. Evaluators from Southern Methodist University and Florida State University rated couples by their attractiveness. The couples filed out questionnaires about their desire to stay in shape, as well as, remain attractive. The study concluded that in instances where the man was less attractive he was likely to compensate with presents, sexual favors or extra housework. AHHH! That’s just one study.

Are there others? Of course! In a study conducted between men and women measuring facial attractiveness from two age ranges: 35-50 and 51-65, researchers hypothesized that ” increased perceived power( i.e….status, wealth, social influence)  for older aged men, would partially compensate for their age-related decline in facial attractiveness.” The study went onto state that the data was consistent with this hypothesis. Translation: THE NON-SELECT TAX IS REAL!

 In reference to the question, Ali uses jingoistic catch phrases to argue that this cannot be the case because taxes are consensual in societies such as the United States. He says that any kind of tax proposal must be signed off on by the taxpayer(the people) before implementation by the public at large.

The power she wields is not subject to legislators on Capitol Hill. It does not require a simple or super majority.
