If you are a regular listener and viewer of various podcast episodes that are uploaded on several different YouTube channels hosted by a wide variety of Black male podcast hosts, then you have probably heard a lot of talk about there being a major ‘gender war’ between men and women, and more specifically, between Black men and Black women (particularly, here in the United States).

Don’t believe the hype.

The real ‘war’ is not between Black men and Black women … but on social media (and YouTube in particular), the true division and battle is between various factions of Black men.

A WAR OF OPINIONS and PHILOSOPHICAL VIEWPOINTS ON YOUTUBE

If you are a Black man who has a YouTube channel that primarily concentrates on sports, movies, health & fitness, video games, automobiles, and/or many other topics and subject matter that has nothing to do with dating & relationships, sex, marriage, or anything else directly or indirectly related to the interpersonal relationship dynamics between (Black) men and (Black) women, then 99.9% chance, you are not directly involved in this “war.”

What is the primary source of contention between the various factions of Black male YouTube hosts? In two words, Black women.  Should Black men continue to pursue Black women for romantic companionship and marriage?  Should Black men continue to pursue Black women for short-term and/or non-monogamous ‘casual’ sex?  Should Black men hire Black women as co-workers and business colleagues?  Should Black men completely ignore American Black women?  Should Black men even engage in a social conversation with Black women?  These are just a few of the questions at the center of the disparate opinions between many Black male YouTube podcast hosts.

Here are what I feel are the primary factions who rarely see eye-to-eye with each other:

• Black Men who are “Anti-Gynocracy” and “Anti-Feminism” (i.e., The MGTOW / IBMOR / SYSBM / MRA / EBM faction)

• Black Men who are Bitter Misogynists toward all women, or at minimum, seek to completely avoid interactions with Black women

• Black Men who are ‘White Knights’ for Black women, and will constantly co-sign with Black women’s harsh criticisms of Black men’s behavior

• Black Men who favor “trickin” (i.e., paying women for their sexual companionship, and then quickly dismissing them after the sex concludes) and/or these men believe in only connecting with Black women (as well as non-Black women) who reside outside of the United States

• Black Men who are Dating Coaches & Relationship Advisors for Men, Women, or Members of Both Genders

BLACK MEN WHO VEHEMENTLY OPPOSE GYNOCENTRISM and FEMINISM

One of the major factions of Black men present on YouTube are those who are staunchly against the idea of a Black female matriarchy dominating and influencing Black male behavior. These Black men are very much anti-gynocracy and anti-feminism, and they firmly believe that Black men should always dictate social interactions between Black men and Black women.

BLACK MEN WHO ARE BITTER MISOGYNISTS WHO PASSIONATELY HATE BLACK WOMEN

There are a number of Black men who offer commentary on their YouTube channel that makes it obvious that they simply have no desire to engage in any sort of romantic or even a strictly sexual relationship with Black women period. Some of these men want nothing to do with women at all, while many other men in this faction limit themselves to the romantic and sexual companionship of non-Black women only.

BLACK MEN WHO ALWAYS DEFEND BLACK WOMEN AND ALWAYS CO-SIGN WITH BLACK WOMEN’S CRITICISMS OF BLACK MEN

These Black men are often referred to as “White Knights,” “Black Male Feminists,” and/or “Simps.” These are the Black men who rarely if ever criticize any aspect of Black women’s behavior, but they are very quick to agree with just about every criticism of Black men’s behavior that Black women express on their YouTube channels.

BLACK MEN WHO ARE AGAINST MARRIAGE and LONG-TERM MONOGAMOUS RELATIONSHIPS, BUT ENTHUSIASTICALLY ENDORSE TRICKIN’ and TRAVELING TO OTHER COUNTRIES TO CONNECT WITH WOMEN

There are some Black men who have no desire to be the husband, fiancé, or long-term boyfriend to a Black woman (or at minimum, an AMERICAN Black woman), but they are very much in favor of paying money for the sexual companionship of a street prostitute, professional Call Girl, upscale Erotic Escort, and/or a young, beautiful, sexy ‘Sugar Baby.’ These Black men argue that their time and solitude is precious and very valuable, and that women are easily disposable peripherals. These Black men either have no children, or they have children but have no desire to have raise those children with the help of a wife or long-term romantic companion.

BLACK MEN WHO ARE DATING COACHES and/or RELATIONSHIP ADVISORS FOR MEN, WOMEN or BOTH

The final faction of the five major factions of Black men on YouTube who are often at odds with one another are those Black men who earn a living offering knowledge, wisdom, insight, and some form of dating advice and/or relationship advice to men, women, or members of both genders.

THE BATTLE FOR CREDIBILITY, SUBSCRIBERS, and YOUTUBE INCOME

Next to simply a difference in opinions and varied philosophical viewpoints on if, and how, a Black man should continue to interact with Black women, the second most profound factor that causes tension between Black male YouTube hosts is the competitive battle for regular listeners and viewers a.k.a. “followers” as well as paying and non-paying subscribers.

Some Black male YouTube hosts earn income and financial support via Google AdSense revenues, while other Black male YouTube hosts earn income and financial support from private pay-per-view exclusive videos, Patreon.com subscribers, and/or PayPal donations.

SOMETIMES ALLIES … SOMETIMES ENEMIES

The most interesting aspect of the five various factions mentioned above is that you might have two of those five factions that many times will agree with each other, and they will generally be on the same page … but then, depending on the topic being discussed and the commentary expressed, their opinions will sometimes be on opposite ends of the spectrum.

For example, you might have some Black men from the “White Knight” faction who may sometimes agree with the Dating Coaches & Relationship Experts, but other times, they will engage in heated debates with them. Other times you may have Black men who are anti-gynocentrism & anti-feminism who will gain support from the Black men who are pro-trickin’ and anti-monogamy, but in other instances, these two factions of men may identify at least a handful of disagreements between them.

THE TWO FACTIONS MOST LIKELY TO ALWAYS AGREE WITH EACH OTHER:

Black men from the “Anti-Gynocracy / Anti-Feminism” faction and Black Men from the “Anti-Monogamy / Advocate for Trickin” faction

THE TWO FACTIONS LEAST LIKELY TO EVER AGREE WITH EACH OTHER:

Black men from the “White Knight / Harsh Critic of Black Men” faction and Black men from the “Bitter Misogynists / I Hate All Black Women” faction

IF YOU ARE A REGULAR LISTENER OF YOUTUBE PODCASTS HOSTED BY BLACK MEN, WHICH FACTION DO YOU BELONG TO?

If you are a regular or semi-regular listener and viewer of a number of different YouTube podcast episodes hosted by Black men, and most of the talking points center on the social interactions between Black men and Black women, then there is a very good chance you may fall into one or more of the five factions listed above (unless you are someone who is part of the “I am just here for drama in the comments section!” faction).

Here are some questions that you can answer, “Yes,” “No,” or “I am not sure.”

Are you a man who has absolutely no interest in sharing the company of a Black woman in any sort of romantic and/or sexual manner from now until the day you die?

If your answer is “yes,” then you fall into the “Bitter Misogynist / I Hate All Black Women” faction

Are you a man who hates the idea of living in a gynocentric and highly feministic society, where every law and public policy seems to favor women’s interests over men’s interests?

If your answer is “yes,” then you fall into the “Anti-Gynocracy / Anti-Feminism” faction

Do you strongly believe that it is Black men rather than Black women who create far more problems in society and in today’s dating scene? Do you generally agree with the vast majority of Black women’s harsh criticisms of Black men’s foul behavior?

If your answer is “yes,” then you fall into the “White Knight / Harsh Critic of Black Men” faction

Are you a man who has absolutely no interest in marrying a woman or engaging in a long-term strictly monogamous romantic relationship with a woman (and particularly, any American woman), but instead you highly prefer the female companionship of women who are street prostitutes, professional Call Girls, upscale Erotic Escorts, or materialistic ‘Sugar Baby’ types who you can quickly and easily dismiss whenever you feel like it?

If your answer is “yes,” then you fall into the “Anti-Monogamy / Advocate for Tricking” faction

Do you currently earn a living offering knowledge, wisdom, insight, and general advice to heterosexual men that is designed to help them improve their love life, sex life, and overall social life?

If your answer is “yes,” then you fall into the “Dating Coach / Relationship Expert” faction

Once again … as mentioned … some men might validly fall into two or more of the five factions

In 2018, we’ll see what new battles are created … and what new allegiances are formed in the continuing-to-grow ‘negro manosphere’ on YouTube.
