Yohji Yamamoto has been working with Adidas on his Y-3 label and now the Japanese designer decided to team up with no one other than Houston Rockets’ NBA superstar James Harden for an exclusive collection.

With Adidas’ Y-3 brand standing strong ever since 2002, Yohji’s passion for excellence is well documented in the fashion world.

Back when the Japanese designer decided to team up with Adidas he made a strong promise to change the direction of athletic wear and fashion as we all know it. So now in 2018, the new partnership with NBA superstar James Harden only makes sense since Harden himself is known for pushing the boundaries – on and off court.

With this being said, Y-3 is once again adopting the latest Adidas technologies for a hot new silhouette designed to change the sportswear game. The upcoming release will go under the name of Y-3 BYW BBall and it’s based on Yamamoto’s eclectic designs and Adidas’ newly upgraded Boost You Wear technology – a winning combination in our eyes. Being a proud man that he is, The Houston Rockets frontman decided to premiere the shoe himself with a few exclusive photos being available below.

Online sources say that adidas Y-3 BYW Harden will receive a pre-release exclusively at the adidas 747 Warehouse in Los Angeles during the NBA ALL-Star weekend. So if you’re lucky enough to be in town for the event, be sure to pay a visit to the Warehouse to cop yourself some high end basketball-wear greatness.

After the event will be over, there will be a several months waiting list for everyone else interesting in copping the shoe. There will be a raffle where a lucky someone is going to win a pair as well but for the rest of us the retail price is $350 USD plus. We made this deduction ourselves since most Y-3 releases go for that asking price.

Could be less, could be much more but it’s most likely going to be more.

JustFreshKicks also stated on their social media hubs that a wider release will take place in April this year. No news of the official date or the drop place just yet so stay tuned as we promise to keep you updated. Last but not least, feel free to share your thoughts on the kicks and to let us know if you see Harden rocking the high fashion kicks on the court this year.
