A RECENT CONVERSATION WITH A WOMAN

Below is a slightly paraphrased transcript of a conversation I had with a woman approximately two weeks ago.

Woman: Well, I have to let you know Alan … jumping into bed with a man soon after I meet him … without him taking the time to get to know me first … is not really my thing.

Alan: Well, similarly … I have to let you know … treating a woman to a free lunch or a free dinner … without her agreeing to engage in sexual relations with me first … is not really my thing.

Woman: I refuse to be ‘used’ and taken advantage of sexually

Alan: I refuse to be ‘used’ and taken advantage of non-sexually

Woman: (laughs) Alan, that is ridiculous. How can a woman ‘use’ a man non-sexually?

Alan: Is that a real question?

Woman: (giggles) It sure is! I mean, you could have sex with me … and then just go ‘ghost’ on me. You could get what you want … and then choose to totally ignore me and never speak to me again

Alan: (chuckles) Surely, you jest. You seem to be very one-sided in your thinking

Woman: How so Mr. Currie?

Alan: I mean, you could just allow me to treat you to lunch and/or dinner … and then just go ‘ghost’ on me as well. You could enjoy a lengthy, flattering and entertaining conversation with me … and then choose to totally ignore me and never speak to me again

Woman: Well, in my opinion, it’s not really the same thing. I don’t really do casual sex

Alan: It very much is the same thing. And just for the record … I don’t really do purely platonic friendships

Woman: What’s wrong with spending time with a woman without sex being involved? Men do this all the time!

Alan: What’s wrong with spending time with a man sexually without a lunch date or dinner date being involved? Women do this all the time. Trust me on this

Woman: Women who immediately jump into bed with a man that they just met are sluts. They are hos (whores)

Alan: Men who immediately offer to treat a woman to a free meal are financially generous non-sexual ‘sluts.’ They are simps

Woman: If you say so

Alan: I say so

If you did not learn anything else from this conversation of mine, you should have learned at least two things:

1) The vast majority of women want free, quick, and easy access to men’s non-sexual time, attention, and companionship … but they want men to invest a significant amount of time, effort, and even money into pursuing them before they give a man access to their sexual companionship

2) I will not allow women to get away with hypocritical behavior. I always let women know: I place just as much value on my non-sexual time, attention, and companionship as women place on their sexual time, attention, and companionship

SPEAKING OF SEXUAL COMPANIONSHIP vs. NON-SEXUAL COMPANIONSHIP

If you took time to watch those two video podcasts of mine that I recommended, you know that the primary theme of each was evaluating the desirability and appeal of women’s sexual companionship vs. their non-sexual companionship.

Let me ask you: When you think about spending time with a woman … what do you find appealing about her companionship other than the prospect of experiencing sexual enjoyment and satisfaction with her?
