The most unrealistic set of humans I have ever seen are feminists. They live their lives believing and deceiving themselves that men and women are equal. You can just imagine! Even in the garden of Eden, it was the man that was created first. The man lived for many years without a woman, conducting himself well and controlling all the affairs in the Kingdom of Eden, until God reasoned that it wasn’t good for the man to be alone and finally created a woman from the man’s ribs.
The story of creation shows that men can exist without women but women can’t exist without men. Any woman who equates herself with a man doesn’t know what she is doing and is therefore setting herself up for trouble. Men are like complete vehicles but women are just like headlights. You can still drive your car without the headlights if you don’t drive in the night. It is that simple. Women are second-class citizens but they are not ready for this naked conversation, especially the ones among them who call themselves feminists.
The word ‘feminism’ shouldn’t have existed in the first place. It is a word that has brought confusion to a lot of women who don’t know what they are doing, women who think they can change the order of things without thinking deeply. Does it mean God doesn’t know what He is doing when He placed men above women? It is impossible for men and women to be equal. The contemporary African woman has been made to believe in lies fabricated, concocted and blacksmithed by those who think they are educated, exposed and woke.
You can’t claim equality with one whom God has made the head and the principal. You can’t claim equality with one whose ribs brought you into existence. You can’t claim equality with a man who paid a dowry to marry you. You can’t claim equality if you have to move out of your parent’s house and pack into a man’s house. You can’t claim equality if you have to dump your father’s name and embrace your husband’s name as your surname. It is impossible. Women need to stop deceiving themselves with equality.
Feminism and gender equality are bad words which should be deleted from the dictionary. Those words have created a lot of problems for women and some of them don’t even know. As long as a woman keeps equating herself with a man, there will be friction and misunderstanding. Women are subjects. They are weaker vessels. They are allowed to take positions of power but they shouldn’t be tempted into thinking that they are equal to men. They are not. They can never.
There are things expected of women and there are things expected of men. You don’t need to deceive yourself that what a man can do, a woman can also do. Or even do better. It is a lie. Everyone has their habitat. Human anatomy and biology will tell you a lot. Everyone needs to recognize their place or position in creation and work towards fulfilling the responsibilities expected of them. Gender equality is not an African thing. It is not even a natural thing.
Women are created to be under the authority of men.
I know that a lot of women won’t like to hear this but there is nothing you can do about it, unless you want to keep believing in lies. The world is patriarchal. It is a man’s world. In most African cultures, a man can have many wives and even concubines or side chicks without inciting anger from the society. The society will overlook it and forgive him easily, as long as he has the money to maintain those women. However, in most cultures, it is a taboo for a woman to have two husbands. If a woman has a concubine, the society will frown at it. They will call her names. In fact, other women will gossip about it and embarrass such a woman. Can you see?
Women need to know that there are things they can’t change. They need to know that if they want peace and happiness in their homes, they can’t equate themselves with their husbands. Women need to put themselves in their place. They will remain second-class citizens until the end of the world. This is not to ridicule women but it is the bitter pill they find very hard to swallow. It is the reality they don’t want to embrace. Women are created to submit themselves to their men. A woman’s power is in her submissiveness.
There are natural laws you can’t change, no matter how intelligent you are. You just have to embrace them.
The synopsis of this writing is not that women are slaves. No. They are subordinates. They are helpers. They are partners and companions. They are to be treated with respect and love but they also should not pass their boundaries in certain things. They, with respect and humility, should submit themselves to their men. They have their own powers. They should not relegate themselves by trying to wrest power from men. They are to, with wisdom and humility, maintain whatever has been allotted to them by nature.
Women are to be treated like human beings that they are. They should have all the freedom that men have. Women’s rights are human rights. They are entitled to human rights which include the right to live free from violence and discrimination, the right to enjoy highest physical and mental health, to be educated, to own property, to vote and be voted for, and to earn an equal wage. They are to enjoy all the rights that men enjoy, too. However, in their homes or marriage, they should recognize the authority of their men and submit themselves.
