During NBA’s most important weekend of the year, Nike decided to unveil their 2018 All-Star Pack with 14 new kicks being premiered.
First part of the pack
This year’s pack includes 14 different releases with three of Nike athlete’s signature shoes (KD 10, Kyrie 4, and PG2) receiving a Los Angeles inspired makeover combined with color-changing Swoosh logos for the overall design. Two more signature shoes follow (the newly released Kobe 1 Protro “Undefeated” and Nike x Kith Lebron 15 “King’s Cloak”) the first batch, in a collaboration with a second party. The following releases will be limited editions with only a few lucky ones receiving a pair.
As we can see below, the Kobes are based on a classic UNDFTD camo across the upper with several upgrades added to create a more modern version of the shoe. The Lebron 15 follows quickly and it’s probably the most good looking shoe of the entire collection. Based on a Pure White upper, the kicks now benefit from a beautiful Black canvas and a creative embroidered pattern for the upper, designed by Kith director Ronnie Fieg. Everything about this shoe is special and it was most likely designed to add some good visual value for the right outfit.
Second part of the pack
Up next, The Swoosh Brand decided to add five shoes under the signature name The “90/10” Pack. The idea standing behind this release was that all the shoes included in the pack were 90% “complete” in Nike’s book so they just left some space for that 10% to make them look distinctive. SF-AF1 High, Air More Money, Vandal Hi Supreme, Air Force 1 Low and Huarache are all part of the pack so if you’re a fan of any of them, you will now be able to cop a pair that you can transform.
These specific releases are based on White and Grey materials with the role of being customized. Up next is the Nike “Makers of the Game” pack with the Galaxy 2.0 Foamposite One and a Wheat colorway of the recently retroed Air Zoom Generation. The last pairs included are Ricardo Tisci’s versions of two Air Force 1 Mids, themed after his fictional team the Victorious Minotaurs. Here are some close shots with Nike’s 2018 All-Star Pack.
The entire collection will be available starting February 15th 2018 via Nike’s website and their SNKRS app. Some models are rumored to retail in the Los Angeles as well even if nothing is official yet.
