After the whole world went mad on ugly sneakers in 2017, it looks like Nike is getting ready to focus on a brand new concept for this year – the sneaker boot. The first drop of the year that focuses on this concept was already announced under the name of Dynasty Hi ’17 TC. Let’s find out all the details about this upcoming release below.

Designed as a new lifestyle silhouette, the Nike Dynasty Hi ’17 TC successfully combines the boot construction with both unique elements and designs that derive from existing silhouettes into a brand new concept that will most likely lead the way for similar releases this year. The upcoming drop combines the high make-up with a sharp midfoot Swoosh and the Nike branding that comes to life on both its heel and tongues.

Construction

One of the most interesting elements for this new design (and unique at the same time) are the square eyelets that house equally square laces. This adds an interesting aesthetic to Nike’s concept while multiple overlays on the side panels allow for distinct color blocking capabilities. From our experience, this means that the silhouette will feature more than these two color combinations we can see below in the near future.

The finish off the design, Nike rounds ups a dual-level sole unit with the Nike Grand Volee that sported a low construction combined with a minimalist yet catchy upper. The final result stands as a sneaker-boot you can rock with a casual outfit or if you’re brave enough and trustful in Nike’s technology, during your outdoor trips.

Price and release date

If you’re asking what the “TC” etiquette stands for, online sources say it most likely stands for “Tech Craft”. The Swoosh Brand plans on dropping the Nike Dynasty Hi ’17 TC at Nike Sportswear retailers on February 17th. For the upcoming release you can expect the Black (BLACK/ANTHRACITE-WHITE) and the White (SOFT PEARL/SAIL-SUMMIT WHITE) colorway with additional colorways being added during the rest of the year as we mentioned above.

No word on the official price just yet if you’re wondering how much you will have to spend to get your hands on the new sneaker boot. However, judging by the previous releases, you can expect the upcoming drop to be somewhere between $200 and $250 USD.
