This is the case of Daniel Jacobs that decided to put his talents to work by creating a custom Air Jordan sneaker that is wearable (more or less) for the first time in his career. The final result for the Dan Life x Jordan Brand collaboration is a custom release that has 15,000 gold diamonds part of the design. Sounds crazy?

It probably is but people like Daniel Jacobs just don’t know how to express their love for precious metals and expensive things unless they combine them together for the rest of the world to see. The designer decided to put a unique spin on the classic Jordan silhouette, the Air Jordan 1 with the new release going by the name of GOLDS (obviously). The shoe stands under a white sole unit with metallic hits to add a more luxurious feel for the overall design.

The metallic gold that seems to be the light motif of this release, appears on both tongues and the Jordan Wings logo to add a sharp touch for the shoe. The design gets complicated with two customs hits on the heel that read “1985” and “MJ23”. In order to offer a more complete feeling to his release, Daniel decided to include a golden elephant print box in his design with the total price adding up to $6500.

Yes, that’s right, $6500 USD for a pair of limited edition, custom Dan Life Air Jordan 1 encrusted with 15.000 gold crystals. I bet somewhere there’s a rapper rubbing his hands while looking at these pictures.
