The most hunted sneakers..
With 2018 being a few months away, it’s safe to say that the past year has been a great one for sneaker fans. In 2017 we were blessed with tons of great collaborations, new releases, lots of re-releases, and ground-breaking technologies so it’s only natural to share our thoughts on the most wanted sneakers in the game so far.
5. Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 “Glow in the Dark”
Sneaker fans usually have mixed opinions about Kanye West’s Adidas Yeezy line. Some say that Ye’s ways of designing shoes are inconspicuous and some love the kicks simply because they’re comfortable but most of us will agree on one thing: Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 “Glow in the Dark” features one of the sharpest designs of 2016.
4. Air Jordan 11 Retro “Space Jam”
With the 20th anniversary of Space Jam taking place this year, Jordan Brand upgraded the Air Jordan 11s with a new edition that can only be classified as fire. As expected, the kicks were highly praised by most fans so there’s no doubt about them making our list.
3. Air Jordan 1 High OG “Banned”
The Air Jordan 1s, one of the greatest releases from JB, came with a 2016 edition as well. Most importantly, with the latest Air Jordan 1 release, the true story about the shoes also surfaced online. So, not only we got to enjoy a great pair of kicks but we also clear the facts on the “Banned” story.
2. Nike HyperAdapt 1.0
First time Nike’s auto-lacing technology was sold in-stores. Placed at $720, the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 represented our first chance to cop a pair of self-lacing sneakers but hopefully next year is going to bring a lot more of that.
This release is currently reselling for 3,500 USD but we encourage fans not to give up on their savings and instead be patient for Nike’s 2017 lineup.
1. Nike Air Mag
This year’s most awaited release was without a doubt the Nike Air Mag. After 27 years Nike designed 100 pairs of Mags that were given away in a raffle with people going crazy over Marty McFly’s kicks from Back to the Future 2.
And we can’t blame them. We made a donation to Michael J. Fox’s foundation hoping to win a pair but most of us had to settle for contributing to a good cause. Yet, in our books this was still the best release of 2016.
